Hello Friends Of The Festival!
Welcome to 2012, can you believe it! We are now 23! We are all excited and enthusiastic about what lies in store for the upcoming year. 2011 was a year of discovery for us and I know that we will do everything we can to make 2012 an even more memorable year! We have a lot of exciting news that we will be sharing soon! Look for a new website and an announcement about our office!
Each year our goal is to screen hundreds of films to bring you the very best in GLBT filmmaking from around the world right here to Tampa! We not only want you to enjoy the movies but we want to give you an environment where you can relax, have fun and create memories that will last a lifetime.
We would like to give special thanks for the role each of you play in making this organization a success: our Presenting Sponsor for 2011 www.AlandChuck.Travel gave us some unforgettable trips and secured our position in the nation as one of the best Film Festivals by allowing us to align with them for a tremendous year. Our other sponsors, donors, grant funders, the Alan Dusowitz endowment, advertisers, community partners, media partners, numerous volunteers, the actors, filmmakers, distributors and most of all YOU, our audience! Without all of you, Tampa would not be home to one of the leading GLBT film festivals in the world. It is your love for film, community and one another that makes us so special!
So, as we begin the work for our 23rd festival, we hope that each and every one of you will be inspired to participate in some way this coming year. Come to one of our monthly movies, come to one of our fundraisers, make a donation, or bring someone new to the festival. You can even volunteer to work on a committee or join our board! Everyone has their own talents to offer and there are many ways you can help, just give us a call or send us an email and we will find the right place for you.
